Clashes between the Military Council and the CDF still continue near the surrounding villages of Sam Thar and San Eain Nu, which are in the Ward No. (5) of Kanpetlet Township. About 900 people, including the elderly, the children, the sick and the pregnant women, have been reportedly fleeing into the jungle for several days.

The Kanpetlet Township Red Cross Society had issued a statement that food and medication hep are needed since IDPs are facing food and water shortages in the jungle and as they cannot predict how long it would take,

The Red Cross Society of Kanpetlet Township posted an update on 16thy March on its social media that volunteers are needed and welcome.

The CDF Kanpetlet announced yesterday that they had to temporarily leave its brigade headquarters due to the use of superior force by the military council in Kanpetlet.

The Kanpetlet Township Red Cross also stated that anyone can reach the provided telephone number to help IDPs in Kanpetlet.
